Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Brand Image Fashion & Sourcing Intern – Summer 2026 position at Ralph Lauren. I am currently a senior studying Fashion Business Management at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), graduating in May 2026, and I am eager to bring my blend of creative styling, merchandising experience, and operational precision to a brand that has defined timeless American style for decades.

As a Project Management Associate and Lead Stylist for Grayscale, I have been responsible for the full styling process across three commercial productions, from concept to execution. I collaborated closely with creative directors, producers, and talent to build looks that aligned with the brand’s visual narrative, ensured continuity on set, and maintained detailed wardrobe tracking so every piece was accounted for. This experience taught me how to translate a brand’s vision into tangible outfits, manage samples under pressure, and support a team during high-stakes, time-sensitive installs, skills that mirror the Brand Image Fashion & Sourcing team’s work with sample lifecycle, seasonal boards, and key store installations.

In my role as a freelance personal stylist for high-end clients, I manage everything from wardrobe edits and closet organization to purchase orders, returns, and lookbooks. I build Excel trackers for budgets and purchases, create PowerPoint and Canva presentations to visually communicate outfit plans, and handle logistics to make sure every item arrives on time and in perfect condition. That combination of creativity and structure reflects exactly what excites me about this internship: supporting the creative sample process, organizing data into clear Excel tools, and contributing to seasonal planning boards that inform global store windows, interiors, and marketing activations.

Most recently, interning at Pickle, a West Village circular-fashion concept, strengthened my understanding of merchandising and product storytelling. I helped with pricing and markdown decisions, inventory organization, tagging, and visual merchandising for influencer closet sales. I learned to think like both a merchant and a customer, reading what sells, why it sells, and how product presentation can shift demand. This experience sharpened my eye for assortments, balance, and visual impact, which I would bring to building boards that showcase assortments and seasonal installations, and to supporting local in-store installations at Ralph Lauren.

Beyond my experience, I bring the perspective of a Latina student born in Patagonia, Argentina, now living and studying in New York City. Ralph Lauren’s ability to craft a world through clothing, one that makes the East Coast lifestyle feel magical even from afar, is a huge part of why I chose this industry. I am inspired by how the brand turns heritage, craft, and storytelling into environments, windows, interiors, and experiences. Being part of the team that helps translate that vision into real spaces and moments would be a dream and a responsibility I would take very seriously. I am confident that my hands-on styling and merchandising background, strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), attention to detail, and love for the Ralph Lauren aesthetic position me to contribute meaningfully to the Brand Image Fashion & Sourcing team from day one. I would be honored to support your seasonal planning, sample management, and store installations while learning from experts who have built one of the most iconic brands in the world.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I would be thrilled to discuss how I can support Ralph Lauren’s Brand Image and Global Fashion teams this summer.

Sincerely,

Valentina Rodriguez Querejeta
